"I thought the enclosed might be of interest to Club Sandwich readers, in fact to Paul himself.
The badges come from the Butlin's holiday camp in Filey, Yorkshire, in 1957 - the same place, the same summer, that Paul performed in public for the first time, singing an Everly Brothers song in duet with his brother Mike. These are what members of Paul's first audience would have been wearing on their lapels as they watched him. If only memorabilia could speak..."
